In this interview Elizabeth chatted to Mark Heffernan, alias Pocket Lint, who has just released A Grey Opaque.

When were you first introduced to music? 

Well, my earliest musical memory is probably my dad singing ‘Hit me with your rhythm stick’ around the house as a kid. Both my parents love music and it was always playing.

When were you first introduced to music?  

I started music when I was 15 years old, after self-teaching myself the piano. I surprised my dad by asking if he could take me to the local piano store. We went and I played to test some out and he had no idea I could play!

First of all, tell us about you and the band

We are Gin Palace, an indie band from Belfast. We first formed in summer 2018 and play music that’s inspired heavily by jazz and funk, with a little twinge of pop and psychedelia in there somewhere too.
